After the reviews and Inanna ratings for hotel Sankt Peterburg, Plovdiv, restaurant Galant, park hotel Berlin, restaurant Bulgaria, restaurant Panorama in park hotel Moskva, restaurant Carsko selo, and restaurant Metropolitan, we are now presenting park hotel Vitosha. Park Hotel Vitosha is one of the most popular wedding venues in Sofia and there is a good reason for that. For the first time in quite a while, we were invited as guests to a wedding and not as the wedding planners and we were able to sit back and enjoy the home made rakia and dance the night away. We are also quite busy collecting impressions and taking notes for this review.
Location: Inanna rating 8/10 – the hotel is quite far from the most popular churches and official ceremony places. It’s quite close to the Sofia student city and to all the discos and bars, which is an advantage for the wedding guests who would like to continue with the celebration after the official part is over. The parking, paid, but not secured creates an unpleasant experience.
Interior: Inanna rating 8/10 – The lobby bar and the spot in front of the reception desk are spacious, comfortable, and you can get a drink while waiting to be seated. The restaurant is L-shaped, has a high ceiling and a nice red carpet, which adds a touch of luxury, but also limits decoration color choices. The lightening is not enough for a professional video session and photo shoot and the vendors need to provide additional spotlights.
Service: Inanna rating 9/10 – Excellent. The restaurant manager was there the entire evening and managed the seating and the entire service process. The waiters were perfect. Our only criticism would be pointed to the children’s’ menu: a combination of fries and a chicken steak, which is not the healthiest choice, and was served along with the main course for the other guests. The children were very hungry by then and had eaten the entire ritual bread.
Food quality: Inanna rating 7/10– Serving the cold appetizers with the salads was definitely a smart move. The warm appetizers: chicken fillets wrapped up in bacon, were so good that even a non-bacon-eater as my wife appreciated them. Unfortunately, the main dish – pork with melted cheese and steamed vegetables was quite mediocre.
Quality / quantity / price ratio: Inanna rating 8/10 – Park Hotel Vitosha lived up to the expectations set by the fact that it is one of the most preferred wedding venues in Sofia. The quality of the wedding experience is worth the price per person.
Total Inanna rating – 40/50
